Wingsuit Racing: Intro to WOWS

April 14, 2018 - April 15, 2018

This camp is geared for people who have never competed in a WOWS event and would like to learn the format and progress their wingsuit performance skills. Join Andrew Swint, Sean Devlin, Andy Weiss, and Mike Kearns for a weekend of WOWS-style learning and preparation before the WOWS Regional Competition at Skydive Elsinore which takes place the following weekend!

1. Fly a Squirrel ATC (or similar size suit), Freak, or larger

2. Be capable and comfortable flying in tight formation at high speeds for the suit you will be wearing.

3. A few loaner FlySights will be available but you are highly encouraged to buy/bring your own FlySight for setup, debrief, and scoring. Instruction will be provided.

Basic Format:

After a thorough briefing about the format and FlySight setup, participants will be split up into heats based on skill level and suit size, and assigned a coach that will act as rabbit, debrief jumps, and teach performance techniques. Registration will be capped at a 2 to 1 student to coach ratio. The end of the camp will conclude with awards for things like most improved, best run etc.

Registration Cost:

$100 per person. Attendance both days is required for maximum awesomeness. Included: catered lunch both days, coaching, and awards at the end. Not included: your own slots.
